There a few pokemon missing from the games, that have megas so no, they're not returning, otherwise Beedrill and Pidgeott would be returning and they're not, they wouldn't leave them out if megas were coming back, especially since they're both the first of 5 megas coming to GO.

theres a league in CT that got datamined and some think that the returning mons are used by champions aside from all the legendaries and mythicals. Hoenn starters are really confusing because the hoenn starters don't really fit CT and why hoenn starters instead of unova or kalos who are closer in relation to galar and have near complete dexes in galar.

I don't think Megas are returning but that's not an argument AT ALL considering they planned to include the Dexit with Alola (hence the lack of national dex) and the Alola games still included only the mega stones of pokemon from the regional dex.
Game Freak is 100% retarded enough to bring megas back for a game where a few potential megas aren't programmed

Not just aesthetic form changes, a LOT of pokemon with multiple forms period aren't in the game. Deoxys, shaymin, arceus, meloetta, hoopa, burmy, wormadam, unown, castform, minior, oricorio, and pyroar have also been cut. As well as muk and golem which have alolan forms.

Probopass was literally in almost every single game from Platinum onwards, and featured in Alola's overworld.

Cacturne, on the other hand, not relevant since gen 3 bar its own remakes. Same with Breloom.

The diffrence is that if Johto happens now, it will exactly mirror what happened in Gen 7.

Sinnoh should be next so it doesn't make sense that their legendaries are added, UNLESS they are just made available to transfer but not obtainable in Galar which would support Sinnoh remakes even more.

Jotho legendaries make this a bit harder to understand though, since Jotho remakes shouldn't happen this Gen, so making Lugia and Ho-oh available now will make Jotho remakes feel kinda redundant

So if putting all legendaries into the post-game is the mark of the end of a generation, are we assuming gen 9 comes out next year? Why don’t people think Sinnoh remakes can be released in two years after gen 9 debuts?

Understood, but I’m seeing a lot of people in this thread saying that Sinnoh remakes are clearly not happening because all legendaries will be in the next DLC, which is typically reserved for the end of a gen

Honestly I don’t see the inclusion of legendaries as an argument towards remakes OR no remakes because I doubt gamefreak actually used logical thought in these kinds of decisions
