>>44652155The game starts out alright although it's plot becomes pretty dumb and edgy towards the end since basically Red was created by Prof. Oak as the perfect Pokemon Trainer, knowing nothing other than battling and some shit about a civil war that happened before the events of the game leading to the creation of MissingNo and Mewtwo with Oak being involved in their creations.
There are two battles against Red, the first in Mt. Moon which you're supposed to lose but you can just grind to beat him and get a huge sum of cash as a result and the second at the league which is supposed to be this big climactic confrontation to stop Prof. Oak from taking control of Kanto again.
