My pride and joy though was this. The Official Ash Ketchum's Official Pokemon League Hat. A lot of kids had the cheap felt ones from the Halloween costumes, but not me. I lived near a mall that had a Warner Bros. Store, which weren't too common because that's the only one I'd ever seen, and since Pokemon was being distributed by WB theatrically they had a huge merchandise set up there. As far as I know, this was the only place you could buy these hats, and I knew I had to have it. My mom felt it was overpriced (probably) and said no, and I actually conceded the Pokemon cards I had wanted from the Wizards of the Coast outlet, and she bought me this hat. I wore it EVERYWHERE I could for the next two or so years. Everyone was super jealous of it, everyone wanted to know where it was from. I still have it somewhere, of course it's kid sized so I could never wear it again, but it's a pretty nice hat, really.
This, indeed, was my peak.
