I hatched a shiny Qwilfish in 16 eggs yesterday while I was breeding egg moves onto it. 6IV HA aswell. Right after that I went to hunt Sandile and got it in 46 encounters lol.

Yes, depending on the pokemon I pick specific balls. Went for Love Ball on my shiny Heracross cuz of the pink color and the heart shaped horn females have, ended up being male. Oh well.

Def Espeon, I actually liked it in gen 5 but it's awful in 3D. Shiny Krookodile is the opposite, one of my favs now.

Last one on accident was a Spinarak in UM, but the last one I got from hunting was Accelgor (thankfully with HA)

I don’t go out of my way to do it, but I will definitely try. For example, said Accelgor is in a fast ball which matches it perfectly (not the menu sprite, but the in game model for the ball)

can't really think of one that i hate right now, closest i can think is Swinub and even then i like the green it has, though i wish it kept the blue from gen 2/3.

Currently have two breed projects I’m alternating between for shiny scorbunny or shiny scraggy. Both are being difficult.

Whenever I do a bread project I make sure they have a fancy ball. But with wild catches I just try not to be too basic(in lgpe they’re all in premier balls). I did catch the vanilite in a love ball.

Just finished my Roggenrola hunt in Sword yesterday. Hatched three shinies in about 900 eggs, which was crazy. Also found a random encounter shiny Sandile while I was hatching, which was a great surprise.

I try to, or I otherwise go with a ball that provides a nice contrast or compliment. If I can't decide, I default to premier ball cause I feel like that goes with everything.

Pretty much all of them were hurt in XY. I know why game freak went for the washed out colors but personally it was a change for the worse.

I've got two extra shiny Roggenrola if anyone wants to trade for one. I'll even evolve it into a Boldore before I trade. Not looking for anything in particular, long as it's shiny.

Shiny Authentic Sinistea in Shield. Just got to phase 8(?) though, as a shiny Phantump came along. I'm only missing Authentic cup, Oranguru, Moregrem and Indeedee and I have at least 1 of every shiny in Glimwoods. Pic related is what I got just looking for the cup.

Ledyba and Yungoos in UM. Hadn't done SOS for a while so I went with some easy targets I didn't already have.

If I have the balls, I try to, but if not, I try to default to Premier Balls, and if those aren't doing the trick or if it's a dire situation where the mon is going to get KO'd, the strongest ball I have

I think Typhlosion isn't really ruined, but man I would have liked the purple fire instead of a red-brown body.

Also has it been finally confirmed if the rates for the 500 KO method really do only have a 3% chance of kicking in? I know the last time I was in one of these threads (granted a few months ago) I think there was a debate about it. I don't want to get my hopes up, but damn I just want this cup already anons.

it's still debated whenever it's brought up. i personally think that it is only a 3% chance for it to have the updated odds but i've seen others say the opposite.

I don't think I saw anything else about that anywhere, but that article was written in June this year. Has that been brought up here?

If you have a Cracked/Chipped Pot, you can easily tell since Authentics only evolve with Chipped Pots. But when you first find one in the wild I don't think you can unless the camera hits it during its idle at the right time. I don't know if that would work though.

Specific Spinda patterns is probably more autistic, but this is definitely close. But dammit I still want this cup. I got a Marked Charm too for max autism, and have caught most of the 500 Sinistea to weed out authentics to trade to others. Ended up getting one with the best matching mark too, Thorny.

This adorable girl. Got sword a couple days ago, found out you could access Armor before actually visiting the budew inn near the start and got distracted roaming. Found the forest, saw the Pikachu, and moved in.
Was it probably a waste of effort since it would have been easier in post game with having more money and tools for better odds and less issues? Maybe, but I don't regret it at all.
My second actual shiny and my first actually hunted. This kid is special to me for life.

Returned to hunting for a Shiny Alolan Geodude in Sun this week on Route 12.
Encountered two Shinies; neither of them were Geodude, despite it (supposedly) being the most common Pokemon on that route.
Strangely enough, despite always having an Adamant Synchronizer on hand, I always get Modest. Of the the 5 Shinies I've gotten on Route 12, so far 3 have been Modest and only one has been Adamant.

Yeah! I always try to get shinys on, at least, balls that I see would look perfect on them. Or if not in perfect look, on balls that I really like, or rare ones.

Shiny Dusclops has gotta be one of the most glaring shinys that absolutely got destroyed in 3D. So vibrant before, but now is very, VERY dull in comparison.

Yeah, I know it's quite dirty, but this system is very old and has a lot of damage on the outside due to my stupid kid-self not caring at all. It's not only dirt, but it's cracked up on some zones and I even can't adjust the volume anymore outside of DSi Sound. I'm using it after modding it until it dies off desu (although I will be careful now). Thanks for the concerns tho! Maybe I put a bit of cleaning alcohol to at least have it on a bit better state.

The Entei anon here, just wanted to comment that I got a successful PokéRadar chain on Renegade Platinum, with Houndour! I was able to get two before screwing up, and one of them is a Houndoom now (And catched on Great Ball for Mega matching on Moon!). This took me a lot of times before the chain screwing up, glad I could finally pull it off...
