>>44679634I mean, I can sort of sympathize with that, but it doesn't really impact the gameplay or writing at all, and if anything, forces you to restrategize knowing you don't just automatically know the typings and teams each E4 member/the champion uses. It's not a great or particularly welcome change, but it's not obnoxious.
I also don't know if I agree with Johto's E4 being memorable outside of the Karen memes and Koga just randomly being an E4 member, but alright.
I do agree they would probably be better suited off as superbosses in the wild, but their current inclusion is, again, one of the least offensive parts of CC. I get people including it at the end of their list of gripes with the game, hell, I have my own. But some people treat it as a front and center problem that completely ruins the whole romhack, which just seems really bizarre, to me, personally.
