It's a fine design on its own, but it just nags me personally that the leaf is missing. It had that lovely motif going that just feels missing in the third evo. Hence why I mentioned here in this thread since it asked what evos disappointed you the most based on what prior expectation you had. Since dragonite was already mentioned, (Mind you, the design itself is fine, though it is hardly what I would expect from a slender serpent.) I decided to go with meganium and plot that down instead.
I hear that typhlosion has the similar accusations thrown at it, though for apparently being the same bland old thing of what came before. Nothing from feraligator though, so I suppose that is one Johto starter without controversy.
Anyway, I managed to find that shitty sketch plus the notes I posted. It's about as bad as one can expect from a novice design, though there *might* be something salvageable from this piece. Take it as you will.
