OK, how is the screen measuring HP as if it were a tangible thing? The regular anime manages to get across that a Pokemon is unable to battle anymore without having a literal HP bar on-screen.

You being able to see your Pokemon's HP is not some ooc ability in-game.

Yes it is. The HP display is just UI interface for gameplay, it's not something that characters in-universe can see.

There is no "battle HP". Pokemon fight until they're too exhausted to continue. You don't need a fucking HP bar on the screens, just show the Pokemon collapse from exhaustion. The regular anime already gets this right.
