>>44682048I do it sometimes, but never on a first playthrough. First playthroughs are for just familiarizing myself in all the new stuff, so I want to learn all of the new species names, which is slightly faster to accomplish when you don't tamper with their names.
On other playthroughs, I usually have dumb goals like monotype teams, thematic junk, Nuzlockes, etc, so I'm glad to assign names to my Pokemon to personalize that adventure.
