USUM is alright. The main game is legitimately challenging, but it's lacking in postgame. The comparison to B2W2 is rough because the PWT is pretty amazing.

They're fun games. Just roll with the punches because there's a lot of cutscenes. You just need to put yourself into the mood for it, don't expect to just blaze through the game instantly. Completing the pokedex is actually fun.

They are nothing like B2W2. They're a literally downgrade story wise. If you've played SM, no. They are not worth it.
