To second that, if you're too autistic to call, send an email. I used to work front desk, and everywhere I worked had a policy to hang on to lost items for at least a week before donating/trashing them. If you're embarrassed, just pretend it's a pedometer or that it belongs to your child. Trust me, a front desk agent will see/interact with dozens to over a hundred guests a day, they aren't going to remember anything about you unless you're very friendly, needy, or an asshole.
