>>44699849>I legitimately don't understand how any adult can unironically watch the Pokemon anime for more than a couple episodes. Based on discussions with them, they've deluded themselves into thinking they're actually watching a developing story about not giving up(so Ash should never win the league but that would be bad and the show but end but him winning the league is good and it makes sense the show continues for some reason) and that the episodes that do not progress it are just "filler". They're not judging it at all, they just accept the fact it has the pokemon brand and are content with that. They're pretty much zombies.
If yugioh/Digimon/literally anything gets a bad season at least then its because of incompetence or unpredictable factors, never because they actively set up to make a bad product. In pokemon anime's case, its actually designed for people to either get tired of it or become a zombie fan. It WANTS to be bad unlike the other examples.
