This is what happens when GF didn't install a decent shiny hunting method into the game. Resorting to MM, gen 6 peaked with shiny hunting.

The point of shinies is to be rare though. Doesn't it entirely defeat the point if they keep giving you easy ways to get them?
They've already implemented too many of those as is

Just play Virtual Console GSC, 1/64 chance with the shiny Ditto exploit can’t be beat, it’s not like any Pokémon past the first 2 gens really matters that much anyways.

Gen 8 has the easiest shiny hunting method lmao. It takes like an hour tops rolling for a shiny den, maybe 2 hours if you're unlucky. And even if you don't wanna roll for a shiny den, joining random raids can net you a handful of shinies each day.

I never bothered to shiny hunt before until I got shield three days ago. The only reason why I bother is because of the quick trade system.

Trying to get a zigzagoon is a pain in the ass and I got over 1000 battled

SOS method is much better than anything from Gen 6. And USUM have Ultra Warp Ride with which you can get a box full of shinies in a day

Getting and hatching eggs is so slow in gen 2 that in the time it takes to get & hatch 1 1/64 egg, you could do 10 1/512 eggs in gen 6/7/8
