I disagree with this simply because of the lack of fanart or mentions. The bronies dont touch G. Rapidash because it doesnt look enough like the show (G. Ponyta, sure).

I remember going to /mlp/ after its reveal to see if they were showing any interest, and there was a single thread with anons going "yeah yeah, they have a pastel horse, who cares, it's a Pokemon, not a pony". Basically since it's not from their show they genuinely don't care about it.

Sad to know that I was right then. Dont get me wrong, I do know why a lot of people aren't huge fans of G. Rapidash (eyes/mane, not a pegasus/alicorn) but i'd figured there would be at least SOME fanart. But (ignoring the crappy 5 min dA drawings) ive maybe have seen only 20 good fanarts which ive saved....

People dont touch it because MLP, Bronies dont touch it because it's not enough like MLP. I just want fanart!!

Every Pokemon is someone's favorite. I felt like I was the only person who really liked Sableye for a long time because I liked it despite the fact that it was so weak when it was new, but we just had a thread about it yesterday. I guess getting a Mega really dragged it out of obscurity, given that people used to incorrectly say that Spiritomb was the only Pokemon with zero weaknesses.
