Pokemon isn't just the games and whatever drama you see on Twitter from time to time, it's a huge global phenomenon. No monster game will ever be the "Pokemon killer", no game can be bad enough to kill off the franchise. I went to Japan two years ago and honestly it's insane, gacha machines with Pokemon figurines everywhere, shopping malls selling all sorts of Pokemon goodies in every floor/category, from socks to notebooks, to whatever you can imagine. The Center itself bursting with people buying all sorts of merchandise, huge statues decorating the place, the lights, the size, everything was just spectacular. Pokemon isn't just SwSh or Masuda, it's.. it's huge. Way, way, way too huge, it's everywhere. Even back here in my shitty third world country it's fucking everywhere. It doesn't matter if we're not going through a Pokemania, it's not need, the franchise already cemented its place in society forever.
