I've always thought he looked really cool, literally just a badass electric yeti/gorilla dude. Just wish it wasn't useless in battle.

I don't get it either
Magmortar looks kinda goofy, so I get it (although Magmar is already dogshit)
Rhyperior also looks kinda goody (but Rhydon already ruined Rhyhorn so idgaf)
But I never saw the reason for shitting on Electivire other than NEW THINGS BAD

I think rhyperior is the only direct downgrade of any of the sinnoh evolutions

Ambipom might look a bit stupid but it's not like aipom is any better

She's grown on me, but he still just looks fat and a downgrade design-wise to Electabuzz. He's not nearly as bad of an offender in the "fat & overdesigned cross-gen evolution" department as Rhyperior, Magmortar, and some others. But still a downgrade from Electabuzz.
