We both know the answer to this.
They did it in LGPE and actively decided against doing it in SS. The argument that it would make smaller mons hardly visible is void as this is the same generation that introduced Dynamax.

Fuck no, we will never have proper scaling ever again. I doubt we'll ever stop using these models in every game from now on either. If they didn't upgrade for the switch to home console from handheld, they never will.

technically SWSH started development long before LGPE did, so LGPE is actually more recent than SWSH is, in terms of graphics and mechanics, so I think there's a chance they could scale mons in Gen 9.

Official sizes of many gen 1 mons (Gyarados; Charizard, Nidoking...etc) need to be retconned
They were made up at a time when it didnt matter as it was just an abstract number in the dex, but now it's getting ridiculous

Probably not. The thing is that the actual models are the correct sizes, they're just scaled down in battle and in Camp. The fact that LGPE doesn't do this is proof that it's an intentional stylistic choice.

My guess is that SWSH didn't have proper scaling because it would have made Dynamax less "special" or visually impressive. Giant kaiju gimmick battles wouldn't look all that special if you could achieve the same effect by training up a Wailord, for example. Basically fuck Dynamax and we could possibly see properly scaled battles if the next games drop Dynamax like megas. LGPE had proper scaling after all.
