The "canon" team is the first team that I ran the gen with. That team gets its own row in a box in the PC, and until Gen 8 happened, those Pokemon got reserved placement in a box in the new game when it came out. I don't have all of my "canon" teams as far back as they can go, but I have every team since Gen 4. That means Diamond, Black, Black 2, Y, Alpha Sapphire, Moon, and Ultra Moon's teams are all preserved in their own special place in my PC boxes in Ultra Moon.
