This game concept is amazing, a shame that any developer tried to make something like this, or nobody bought maxis after their death for making a remake of a proper spore game. EA is unforgivable for this.

There are a lot of mods that add extra parts and remove complexity + add force saves so you can make creatures like pic related, plus difficulty + fun mods, nothing game changing though

Unrealistic goal in the first place. Starting space stage, leveling up has becoming a huge hurdle. Terraforming stuff is expensive. Hoarding money is a pain in the ass. You need more and more energy to go farther. Not to mention how the grox consistently trying to cuck you at every chance they get.

I didn't terraform, I just put down a colony pack on one planet in every solar system, also making money is actually pretty easy if you know where to get the best prices for spice (different spice has different value, and different races pay different amounts for each, each has a minimum and maximum price).

There actually was a second Spore game called Dark Spore
It wasn't very good but you literally cannot play it anymore because it had always online DRM and EA shut the servers off years ago
