It's a cool idea but the battles get old very quickly, and the game hands you so many strong Pokemon there doesn't seem to be a reason to catch new ones unless you're just trying to 100% every character

I'd love to see a sequel that fleshes out the combat. It needs to make different Pokemon feel distinct

The designs were taken from Samurai Warriors to begin with. The IP it's based on is Nobunaga's Ambition though, both being owned by Tecmo Koei. They probably thought the former's look was more fitting for Pokemon. But it's weird. This technically makes it a cross over between 3 games.

Cool concept shit execution
Campaigns are easy and you can beat them before the enemy can even move so it becomes tedious
Resource management is nonexistent since you don't even need to invest in your kingdoms at all
Kingdom gimmicks are shit (Fuck steel kingdom in special)
Pokemon only having access to one move is dumb

It was a cool idea that was bogged down by the gameplay just not being interesting enough. Repeated battles just got to be a slog at some point. Pokémon should have had 2-3 moves for variety, maybe two attacks and one status/buff/other. I'd love to see them take another stab at it though.

Really fun, just needed more variety in both the mons and moves.

I kind of wish the post-game missions were a bit more fleshed out, so I had a reason to worry about which Pokemon the random late-game underlings had. Instead you just do 3-4 quick battles and that's the end for most of them.
