Well, it did fit his speech pretty well that even "deities" were in the end just Pokemon if he possessed the capability to take one out.

Really one of the most based boss fights in the series, and best overall boss fight due to the music alone. Still have chills trying to stop this thing while hearing GHEEEEEETSIIIIIIIIIS!!!! in the background.

Really wish they’d do this more often, though I’m not sure that’s feasible with anything in gen 6 given how utterly bullshit the XY boxart legends and the Primals are in every scenario.

Fairy is too OP, no way to gank Xerneas, especially since it has Geomancy and several moves to deal with Steel/Poison types.

His Hydreigon has the ivs!/evs to outspeed the dragons and OHKO them

The game designers knew what they were doing, Ghetsis was out for blood, and considering how many parents complained about Hydreigon in Japan it destroyed many dragons at least first time

Nah, Hydreigon just has a naturally higher speed stat, is higher leveled, and you don't have a chance to raise the EVs of your Dragon.

It's as strong as Gen 1 Psychic. Both effectively have no weaknesses, and Fairy is almost as good offensively as Psychic was, while resisting way more types.

true, they should have given Steven or Wallace a way to counter a player with Groudon/Kyogre. I can see steven maybe replacing Aggron with Magnezone, but I can't think of any good in-theme water mons, unless golduck counts due to having a rock in his forehead
