Don't be ridiculous. The meta is doubles for a reason.
Singles would be literally unplayable. Fast and frail shit would mindlessly overpower everything because you can't have two of your mons gang up on one mon in singles.

Honestly, 6v6 singles could be interesting. It could give bulky, defensively oriented pokemon a chance to shine. It would be a nice change of pace to be able to use shit like Blissey and Toxapex.
