Hey, /vp/. I just started getting back into Pokemon and I'm getting back into it pretty heavy. Are there any YouTube channels I should follow that have good content? I'm not looking for anything too specific, just Pokemon channels. It can be cards, games, anime, top 10 lists, etc. I'm trying to get as much as I can. I've found a few I like such as MandJTV, TrueGreen, Leonhart and MysticUmbreon, but I would love to know about the ones you all like.

There’s practically no good Poketubers in existence. The only one I find somewhat good is Lockstin.

You're going to be told Poketubers all suck, because, well, 90% of them do. Melodramatic egotistical assholes, especially Truegreen and MysticUmbreon. The ones who aren't are usually severely autistic like Jrose, who's probably the best of the bunch.

The ones I follow are PokeaimMD, Lockstin and WolfeyVGC. First and last are competitive battlers and Lockstin does interesting pokemon lore and mechanic breakdowns.

If you're into lore, definitely Lockstin, and I also highly recommend Ruin Maniac Files. Dude's got a strong accent so you gotta get used to it, but his videos are very well reasearched and high quality. For competitive, PokeaimMD is probably the best one. For entertainment, Tyranitartube is pretty good.

I specifically play the VGC doubles format, some good channels for that are Cybertronproductions, Baz Anderson, and Moxie Boosted. The first two are esteemed competitive players who have gotten pretty high placements.
I also like watching False Swipe Gaming's videos talking about the competitive history of different species through the generations.

Depends on what you like.
Competitive: I like lord emvee because he makes creative teams designed to highlight a shitmon in OU and still wins like every game
General content: jrose11 is fun for challenge runs to watch, mostly gen 1 stuff.
poketip and johnstone have some interesting stuff, can be very autistic though.
Niche content/reviews: Tama Hiroka has some cool insight to early gens with her more recent review videos and goes into some topics I don't hear brought up elsewhere. Try out her Johto review, the newer one.

I'd recommend Blueballoon fighter, made very indepth videos about the inspirations for all 251 pokemon and the development of the first game years before it became common knowledge, only on spanish though.

Depends on what you are looking for
Competitive wise, Pokeaim is definitely one of the better ones. I have his videos on audio when Im doing something else and its pretty chill. False Swipe Gaming also does guides for competitive Pokemon as well.

For lore/theories, Lockstin is good. Not all of the theories will stick, but he has done more good ones than bad.

For just a general Pokemon experience, Tyranitartube is great. He does a variety amount of stuff such as challenge wheels, playthroughs, discussions, and other stuff. He even jabs at Gamefreak every once in a while.

I will say though, stay the fuck away from the following: aDrive, "Can you beat...?", and Top 10s. aDrive can be toxic in the sense that he is a blind fanboy and the other two genres are oversaturated as fuck.

poketubers are all faggots, you're better off browsing fan sites for whatever info you're looking for
the only exception I can thing of is competitive battling, since getting into it can be hard without seeing how pro players actually play and think in action
