Well, yes. She does. She has a connection to any Pokémon she owns (Bewear, Milotic, etc.) and the Ultra Beasts (through her obsession with them). Pheremosa works to that end, but it seems like there were better options. Even among the Ultra Beasts.
By connection we just mean a Pokémon or group of Pokémon she's associated with in some way in the games proper.

I get what you guys are saying about Nihilego. I just feel whatever real connection Lusamine had to it is now pretty much meaningless given how inconsistent her character has been portrayed since the original SM games.

To be fair, that makes sense. She never owned Nebby as a Pokémon to battle with. That was all the player of USUM. iirc the player character in Masters gets Solgaleo, so if one of the SM/USUM protagonists gets in, they might get Lunala.
