A lot of things in Pokemon make sense in a game, but trying to extrapolate how they'd work IRL raises a lot of questions.

One that I've been thinking about a lot recently is Pokemon breeding. How would Pokemon breeding as a profession work IRL? In the show they tend to take care of abandoned Pokemon or Pokemon a trainer wishes to temporarily leave behind, like a pound/kennel, but a big part of Pokemon breeders in game is also... well, the breeding. Considering that Pokemon seem to breed easily, what would stop people from simply mass breeding high demand Pokemon like Ralts or Dratini and selling them on the open market, like puppy mills IRL?

Are there other things you question in the Pokemon world? Even things like how laws or the Box works
