Pokken is good but its gameplay was the stupidest idea that they could have had. It's way too hard for casual Pokemon fans and too weird for FGC adoption. It was a game made for no one.

I think the FGC could have gotten over the intial wierd hump the phase shift system provides if the game was actually marketed to stress that it's actually competitive and still has traditional fighting game systems, and it wasn't stuck to Nintendo consoles

though obviously that last bit will never happen

It should never have been an issue though honestly. Making a serious fighting game for a series for toddlers and women was moronic in the first place. They should have just done a casual Smash game with a bunch of Pokemon and called it a day.

Barely any characters and none of the really popular ones.

The stages don't really matter because you can't even interact with them.

Kind of a lame game I didn't really enjoy it and traded it for Crash Bandicoot Trilogy.

I don't fuck with competitive RoA because last I played the netcode was trash
but ever since steam workshop supported was added the game basically turned into smash mugen and it's great
