oh, also it will work on pokemon with alternative forms that are clearly superior to their other form(s). this will only work if this pokemon is in the INFERIOR form while holding the eviolite. if the pokemon changes form to a superior form while holding the eviolite, it loses the boost that the eviolite would've given it after the end of the turn that the form-change happened. examples of such pokemon are:
> giratina (origin > altered)
> reshiram, zekrom, & kyurem (either fusion is superior to their base forms)
> keldeo (resolute > normal)
> genesect (any drive > no drive)
> shaymin (sky > normal)
> arceus (plates > no plates)
> zygarde (100% > 10% & 50% [loses eviolite boost after transforming into 100%])
> hoopa (unbound > bound)
> solgaleo, lunala, necrozma, DuskMane Necrozma, & DawnWings Necrozma (ultra necrozma > anything else)
EXCEPTIONS:
> phione gets the boost because it's essentially just a baby manaphy, and let's face it; phione needs and deserves every boost it can get its hands on
DEBATABLE:
> landorus & the genies (therian forms are probably superior to the incarnate forms, but not sure)
> mew (since she's a pokemon that's inferior to MewTwo in every way [save for TM-Bullshit] but still has STRONG genetic ties to him)
> Tapu-Koko & the rest of the Tapu-team (the whole "island guardian of alola" form is kinda BS because it's in a z-move, but whatever)
> marshadow (has a "zenith form," but that's kinda bullshit since it's ALSO only in a z-move)
> magearna (it has a rusted form and a past form. either way it's bullshit)
> nihilego (technically has a lusamine-fusion form in the game's canon, but it'sn't even a real, catchable, or usable pokemon in the games. you don't even get to battle it. I'm calling shenanigans.)
> froslass (not a legendary, but still deserves the boost since it should've gotten a mega)
> slowking (same deal as froslass)
> rotom (still not a legendary, but if it'sn't in one of the appliance forms it would get the buff)
