I finally figured it out.
It's not zoomers who are indirectly ruining the franchise, but it's actually boomers.
They can't take their nostalgia goggles off and are forcing game freak to ruin their games by constantly pandering to them and not changing the basic formula, they're happy with getting the same shit over and over again and limit creativity.
This has led to the disasters that are known as Let's Go and SwSh.
Pic related is an example, it's not my favorite game by any means, it does have flaws, but it brought innovation to the franchise after a long time, like it or not.
