Even though this is a Game and not Anime example
And even though i don’t know for sure when USUM fits on the timeine but I know its after ORAS/RSE
Wally doesn’t look like he’s aged a day yet Red and Blue look like they’ve hit puberty
What if Wally and Ash have one of those unfortunate conditions which stops their physical and mental growth at a certain age?
So Ash is physically and mentally stuck at Ten but time still passes.
Could explain why Misty moved on but it paints Serena in a different light if she comes back and still has a crush on Ash

A lot of it is to make sure people become stupid and ignorant, and the school system is even worse. Study proves that your mental capacity goes down after 8h hours of being awake, and yet what happens when you spend eight hours in school? Homework at home, doesn't matter if you're fine or not.

And he was still 10 there. A quiz on the Hoopa movie site asked how old he was, and the correct answer was 10, and Rica Matsumoto, his voice actress, also said it during an interview for the Volcanion movie

Misty and Brock literally returned in SM and look identical to how they were in the past. Korrina returned and looks the same as she did in XY as well as Gurkinn. Mallow, Kiawe, Lana and Sophocles look the same despite a year passing since they last saw Ash. Literally all of the fucking characters look like they haven't aged despite that being impossible in the story.

I don't know why people take this shit so seriously, honestly. The last mention of Ash's age in the actual series, IIRC, was BW and BW was meant to be a soft reboot of the anime. Every other mention of Ash's age is in advertisement materials and promotional shit.

In other words, stop taking this shit as word of god. Either the Pokemon World has fucked up aging or Ash has to be at least 13 years old.
