Faba was a joke match. Meltan couldn’t do anything until it ate the metronome and Hypno suddenly forgot how to battle.
Hau was just laughably retarded. Decidueye was literally throwing Rowlet around like a rag doll even while it was bullshitting a new move. Rowlet somehow didn’t go down after being hit constantly with SE moves and then fell asleep, woke up, and somehow landed a OHKO. The worst battle in the show’s history, so bad it made the Japanese fans send death threats to the writer.
Guzma was also stupid, as he had the upper hand only for Golisopod to suddenly be afraid of Fire-type attacks even though its shield handled just about every single one. Then even though Torracat got hit by two Liquidations and two Poison Jabs and managed to survive, one Fire Blast from Torracat OHKO’d Scizor.
And finally Gladion, who Ash was struggling with just about the entire time. From sending in a Pokémon he hadn’t even trained yet, to losing Pikachu to a Z-Move trap, to Lycanroc being manhandled almost the entire battle. Ash’s SM team for some reason were huge damage sponges which is crazy because he almost never trained them unless it was for a Z-Move, last minute before a battle, or the dog and cat hashing it out. Just like Substitute, Lycanroc used Counter in a way it can’t actually be used but it won the battle anyway.
So that’s 2 opponents who didn’t even use Z-Moves, 0 opponents who used Megas or Mythicals, and 1 opponent who used a Legendary that only went down to, you guessed it, Pikachu.
