Pikipek learning Bullet Seed, Fury Attack, and other such moves hint at them using rapid-firing projectiles. Trumbeak is a higher-ranked soldier and also the one blowing the trumpet or horn to signal the rest of the troops to fire the cannons for more devastating blows. Toucannon is the actual cannon, the most lethal artillery they have. They also have tropical island vibes, and Toucannon's line are based on toco toucans, by far the most famous species. It also has that golf club motif with Kahili. I like that its beak becomes progressively darker, hinting that the hotter parts of the beak with the darker colors are more dangerous. Yellow to orange to dark orange to red to black. It has angry blue eyes because Toucannon aren't necessarily aggressive or evil Pokemon; they are just the top-soldiers of their flying military troops. Toucannon and its evolutionary line has a lot of thought put into their designs. So if you think they're ugly, that's fine. But understand there's a reason why Toucannon exists as it is.
