honeslty, Gens 1-5 could've had a 50-50 gender ratio, but Gens 6-7-8 are quiet clearly designed with a certain gender in mind, so it wouldn't work, but still, a 50-50 split is more logical than fucking 87.5 and 12.5% (da fuk is with the .5 shit anyway)

Anon, not sure how retarded you are, but 12.5 is 1/8th of 100, so 1 out of 8 are female, and 8 is a power of 2 which is useful for programming.
Hope that made sense because I'm not sure how else to communicate such a basic concept.

The male ratio is that high for starters because of how breeding works in the games, idiot, and also to make egg moves harder to get, as well as make them “rarer”, back when you needed a cable to trade with other people. It’s a product of its time and should be done away with, since starter breedjects are one of the most traded things in surprise/wonder trade.

It has nothing to do with attract, or your cumskullery.

Pointless. I thought it was to make it harder to breed for them and trade to friends when I was a kid in 99 and got silver. But then I realized ditto is on route 34, so after I learned ditto can fuck anything I was scratching my head as to why bother with it? People are just gonna soft reset if they have a preference anyway, so why waste their time?

If anything, they should skew starters like Cinderace and Primarina the other way and keep the rest the same. That being said, I think it's really funny that they make Pokemon half-designed to entice degenerates and make them predominately male anyway.

I'm not the anon who posed the idea, but I remember doing something similar when I was super young and playing Pokemon Silver. I realized my Quilava was female and bred a male one instead. Little kids would probably do the same thing nowadays. I still think it's a bad excuse, but there is some logic behind it.

I was angry about my Chikorita being a tranny

It's archaic and outdated. Only reason the genders should ever skew towards one end of the spectrum is if Game Freak designed a certain starter with that gender in mind.

Another solution is to give greater gender differences to the starter Pokemon. They are the "special" Pokemon of the generation and advertise the region, so I see no reason why not.
