I wouldn't say hate, but watching this dude get a cross-gen evo, a mega, a regional form for each stage, and likely a GMax coming - all while there are huge swathes of the dex straight up forgotten by the devs - is enough to make me resent it

From a creative standpoint, it makes a little more sense than Charizard because of its concept, theres lots of room to explore different ways Shellder bites slowpoke and how it affects both upon evolution. Charizard is always just dragon lizard with fire.

I don’t hate Kalos frogs design itself but I despise the trend it started where the designated shillmon starter is pushed as the best starter by TPC/gamefreak and given all the special treatment (which Incinaroar and Cinderace followed the trend Greninja set with the Latter being a literal rip off of the frog on a gameplay level) while the others of their trios are made worse on a gameplay level.

A bit unrelated to the threads, but the people who do this are incredibly obnoxious. I remember tons of people here bragging bitterly about how they liked Mawile before the mega bandwagon crowd.
