>>44829934i am the creator of that thread. the replies did exactly as i thought, you love to see it. i promise you guys, it's okay to change sides once you're btfo'd.
i didn't think about this point until some people raised it so i returned to say, the collections do not include spinoffs. games like stadium, xd, etc are not in the collection. any spinoff will need a reboot or new entry in order to make it on the switch; see mystery dungeon and snap.
so the collections are:
>red/blue/green/yellow>gold/silver/crystal>ruby/sapphire/emerald/firered/leafgreen>diamond/pearl/platinum/heartgold/soulsilver>black/white/black2/white2>x/y/omega ruby/alpha sapphire>sun/moon/ultra sun/ultra moonall are $60 (not including home and online subscriptions)
there is also a $350 collector's edition that'll release alongside the gen 7 collection, including all 7 games + venusaur and blastoise joycons + a charizard pro controller. all things considered it's a good deal, but a little tone deaf for post-covid purchases.
you all are equating success with good press. sword and shield could sell a billion copies, nintendo is not blind to the shitstorm sword and shield caused. we live in the cancellation age, where the most successful people and companies in the world can be shut down overnight by dissatisfied fans, regardless of any figures. obviously they're not gonna whip gamefreak into making the autistic wishlist BotW open world, pokefusion, photorealistic graphic bullshit that this board loves to jerk off to; but they can make this happen, and they're going to.
the gif attached is a further edit of the same untraceable gif in the op of the original. the gifs will mean more as time passes.
