Most Pokemon would learn how to speak, read, write, and more than likely have other goals beyond battling. Basically like the Queenie comic, more Pokemon would be treated as more direct equals.... that's assuming Humans weren't wiped out already from the impossibly intelligent Pokemon like Alakazam or Slowking, or the planet wasn't destroyed by a pissed off Gardevoir dropping Black Holes on us.

I could handle 2 currently, in my future I could handle 4 maybe 6. The problem with having that many would be like having 6 grown adults living in your house, eating your food, alongside your family.

If they want to train, I can help them with that, but Gyms are probably not a thing. I don't think any Pokemon could be a "Fuck Toy" they'd kill you or find that demeaning just as any human would.
