This would mean they are just people in Pokemon body's which for some people is great, and leads to the same as the anime universe.
>Main Series GamesMost Pokemon are more primal and less personality driven as the others. They don't usually show the same degree or possibility of knowledge and intelligence as the prior two universes. Most people don't want to have relationships with something that has the intelligence and mentality of a pet dog.
Some people also just have headcanons that combine parts of these universes.
