I know this is a franchise originally intended for children, and many of us fell in love with it as kids and grew up with rose-tinted goggles glued to our eyes, but is it too much to ask to age up the protagonists?

Black & White’s were 15-16, and X & Y’s were at least 18 year old. Kids don’t ever mind playing as late teens or adults, and having the most important characters be of an appropriate age will make any kind of shipping and romance the fandom forces to happen will be a lot less creepy.
