One starter is fine. Using two is borderline acceptable, as long as they're from a different generation. Using three starters from the same generation on one team is Ash-tier cringe. And on that note, using a legendary or mythical on your team is always cringe, even if it's something with low stats like Phione.

No one outclasses Swampert nor Blaziken in their respective gen. Swampert because it's the best tank in gen 3 and Blaziken because it's the best fire mon you can get in RSE. Infernape is not outclassed in its gen because the fire mons in gen 4 is non existent and I was gonna include Empo until I realize you can get mantyke somewhere which they do the same job of special wall/tank. Gen 5 is the gen where all starters are outclassed by something. Gen 6, maybe only Gren isnt outclassed by something. Phox is outclassed by Talonflame and Chesnaught you could argue with gogoat BUT Chesnaught is a better tank. 7 and 8 abstain

The difficulty of the game is typically easy for anyone with half a brain or older than the target audience anyways, so it doesn't matter if it's really strong or not

Primarina is the best offensive Water type in Alola, while Cinderace is the best Fire type in Galar.
Both roar and boom are very solid, but there are a few options that can do the bulky utility knife role just as well.
Decidueye and Inteleon are so shit they're memes.

Dicdueye and Inteleon are shit competitively, but in-game they're still busted and make everything easy as fuck. Inteleon in particular can OHKO and outspeed alot of stuff when he's underleveled.
