>>44855248Honestly I had fun memories with ORAS because of how good the online was (which to this I still think gen 6s online as an interface was closest to being perfect) and shit like EV training, IV breeding, access to dexnav which helped pinpoint specific pokemon I want without rng bullshit etc were decently easy enough that I actually tried a bit of competitive and while gen 6 had, issues, I still think its the only gen thats come closest to perfecting the gameplay experience as.
Idk what the fuck happened after ORAS but the gameplay experience got fucked over to the point where gen 7 and 8 feels like a massive downgrade with gen 7 being bogged down by crap ton of unskipable dialogue and crap online interface and gen 8 being the amalgamation if the worst parts of gen 6 and 7 with the garbage singleplayer of gen 6 and the unskipable dialog of gen 7 (which no skip cutscene does almost fuck all to mitigate that) and somehow the online is even worse as now you can’t even have a friends list (Even fucking gen 4 has this) to interact and initiate battles, joining raids don’t even work half the time and instead have to use a fucking code for everything and it sucked so much that gamefreak had to change the code from 4 digits to 8 just to reduce the risk of connecting to the wrong person.
