Gamefreak's laziness didn't just start recently, since Generation 4 they've cut and reduced and scaled back the possibilities of what the games could really be
>Introduce an alternative to battling with Contests and Poketholn, then change it to musicals, then just cut it entirely
>start introducing real plots, and then go back to the non-plots
>STILL NO REGULAR FOLLOWING POKEMON DESPITE BEING THE MOST WANTED MECHANIC FOR 20 PLUS YEARS
