I do think it would be cool to visit an actually fleshed out Ballonlea (maybe a straight up legit kingdom ruled by fairies?), or maybe floating islands in the sky, or an underwater civilizations, or whatever, but it wouldn't feel right if stuff like that comprised everything. There should still be the urban settings to 'fall back on' so to say.
Bottom line though, is that modern Pokemon, well really most Pokemon games tend to just have a checklist of biomes/terrains you go through without ever doing anything particularly creative. And then when there is something creative it's shit like Ballonlea or Ultra Megalopolis which are tiny hallways. Shit sucks
