/vp/ changing its tune on XY isn't a result of dexitards. XY had a great community surrounding it. PSS was the best online sytem, wonder trade was a cool addition, hacking was rare for a couple of years, and pre-Bank acted as a reboot. No wonder people had a positive opinion of the game. But that was 7 years ago and now people only have the single-player campaign to experience, which is pretty weak. The only good thing about it is its huge dex variety, which to be fair is a selling point for some people with how much Kanto/Johto get shat on for its horrible mon variety.
