The Sun/Moon pokedex was all about Pokemon killing and eating each other, some of them talk about how they drown their prey first, Garchomp swallows entire flocks of bird pokemon whole, Pallossand murders children and Pokemon and collects their dried up bones underneath itself, etc. SwSh has Cramorant which is a whole Pokemon dedicated to eating whatever creatures it can fit it’s mouth around including Pikachus.
Even the TCG has started to incorporate pokemon killing other Pokemon to survive. There’s a Melmetal card with an ability where you can sacrifice a basic steel type Pokemon to it to heal 100 damage, and a Guzzlord card with a “vicious appetite” ability where you can sacrifice one of your basic pokemon to heal it. In those cases it’s even more fucked up because the implication is you’re feeding your own Pokémon to your other Pokemon.
The world of Pokémon has gotten a lot LESS pokemon-friendly the last few gens.
