Despite all of this, its still far and away the worst generation in terms of campaign. They outright said they were trying to cater to the mobile game market, so they made all the gyms far too easy and the elite four a joke. The story is complete nonsense, but could have been great, had it been a time travel story where you fight in the great pokemon war instead.
