Unevolved: Chubby toddler who has three strings and is described in the dex as “constantly practicing.” Sounds and vaguely looks like a Ukelele.
Evolution with Dragon Scale:
This Pokemon was inspired by the thickness of this scale to create a special gauntlet that allows finger plucking of their heartstrings (The dragon scale is broken into four shards, one for each finger). Sounding for all the world like a Banjo this Pokemon tends to prefer to relax unless a territorial duel is begun.
Evolution with Marvelous Scale:
Inspired by the scale’s yield despite it’s delicate looks this Pokemon evolved into a performer who adores being fawned over. Gaining the Electric type has allowed the Pokemon to be just as loud as their relative the Toxtricity and their own gaudy Glam-rocker Bass Guitar persona.
Evolution with Deep Sea Scale: Inspired by the delicate beauty of the scale this Pokemon refuses to use it as a pick proper, instead creating an attachment for the scale made of wood. Calm and sedentary this Pokemon plucks their strings like a Shamisen making them popular in tea houses.
