Kangaskhan would probably the biggest winner overall.

Gengar would probably be second simply because of how powerful trapping abilities are. Having shadow tag on the base form also actually makes it better than the mega in some ways. If you don't have to waste a turn mega evolving, you can trap stuff with gengar right off the bench.

The nerfed mega was still an uber in gen7 singles and had comfortably over 10% usage in vgc 2019.
When you consider base khangaskhan is PU in singles and unviable in vgc, parental bond would probably give it the "most improved" award at the very least.

I feel like most of mega heracross' power over the original came from the whopping 60 atk increase. Skill link increases his damage somewhat but it contributes less than the stats.
If you pull out the calculator, skill link pin missle and rock blast only hit marginally harder than megahorn and stone edge.
Being able to have skill link and a choice band is cool, but you would be forgoing the ability to SD up. Mega heracross is such a great wallbreaker because he hits hard and can boost. Skill link heracross would have to choose between the two.

To be fair, there are some other benefits as well. Rock Blast and Pin Missile are more reliable moves, it has a slight speed edge, and it would have a way of softening up Ferrothorn without making contact. It's not objectively better than guts or moxie, but it's worth considering at least.

They're both pretty disappointing.
Mewtwo is supposed to be this absolute beast designed for combat and nothing else.
So it makes you lose your appetite when you see it, or doesn't go to sleep.
Just seems not very fitting in lore and kinda niche overall.

Shadow Tag itself has a complex ban in Smogon, so Gengar itself simply wouldn't be allowed to run it unless it was being used in Ubers.
That said, it would make Gengar a very viable pick in Ubers. Possibly even kind of busted.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I hate Megas with a passion. I hate every single Mega design, I hate the Mega "lore", I hate the stupid anime super saiyan power up crap that we also see in Z moves and Gigantimax, I hate all of it.

At the same time though, it would be incredibly hacky for Gamefreak to just remove Megas after pushing them so hard, so I don't want to see them permanently gone either.
