>>44887430Only in some countries, everywhere else people recognise it for what it is, a word. I live in a very multicultural country and we're known for being "unfiltered" here. Asians call the latinos "narco", "sudaca", etc., latinos call blacks "negro", "tostado", black call the Asians "chingchong", "chino", "amarillo", and guess what? We all just laugh about it, nobody cares. It's basically shitty nicknames at this point at we find it hilarious, we don't even see them as "bad" words anymore. People here don't get angry at all, hell, sometimes we even call kids or someone's spouse "negro". We ask "how's the little negro doing?", "how are you, negro?"
And you know what? It's great. It's great not living with constant paranoia, to just be able to say whatever and knowing the other person is the same, to not live life looking to be offended by anything and everything.
It's just words.
