but, no, like, I barely have any idea what i'm doing, I never remember to dodge or shield, and I always perform exceptionally better as K Rool than any other fighter, even kirby, which is the simplest and one I have the most experience with. I've won or nearly won 4 player matches with him. That doesn't happen. That SHOULDN'T happen. If I'm on absolute fire and everybody else is playing random shit they never touch, I might make it to final 2 like a stock or 90+% behind. If I'm against someone of equal skill (also a total beginner) I might win. But people using their mains that are "played several generations of smash, or at the very least beat world of light" I shouldn't be winning against those playing a character I'm more or less button mashing on. I'm not even using all of his kit, I don't think I've used the counter intentionally once.
Do people in my area just job to K Rool especially hard or something? Is there a trick they don't know? What gives?
