The fact that it now can't be turned off is irritating. I know it's not necessary but I like ev training in game, and I have to put pokemon back and do it one at a time. Even in post, I can't breed my team and ev train

I wouldn't say that it "ruined" SwSh... There's 50 other things that combined did that.
But, just like in Gens 6 and 7, it trivialized the whole thing.
