I like both Kris and Lyra, they give off a different vibe, Kris being more adventurous and sporty looking, Lyra more easygoing and approachable, which also fits well with HGSS's more heavy-handed themes of friendship and hanging out with your Pokemon. Kris does feel more "protagonist"-like though, in the same way May does.
