>>44908127The region is based off Mongolia and the surrounding area. You are from the central Mongolian area and the professor gives you your starter. Either a cute fire horse that turns into a Tengri style sky horse, a little salamander that turns into a giant Sky dragon or a tiny sprout that turns into a World Tree.
The region is split into the North region (mostly Russian) and the south region (mostly Mongol). And the gyms here are split between the areas. 4 in the Mongol area, 3 in the Russian area, and the eight gym is the Khan's gym which moves from place to place as a roving city on a big ass world map. Picture gen3 water but open land instead.
The major conflict is twofold and you can pick to support one or the other or mediate a solution. The Russian side wants to take over the 8th gym slot and dethrone the Khan. The Khan wants to keep it. Once you beat the Khan you can side with him, keeping the current League Champion (who uses the box legendary) or deposing him and the Khan joins the league as the Champion (who uses the opposite box legendary). If you mediate a solution it adds a 9th gym and a new champion is picked as an outsider (Blue from GENWUN) and you can get the 9th gym badge to go to the elite four.
Two evil groups, one is a terrorist organization that hates cities and constantly messes with the settled city like Russian area. And the second one wants to settle everyone in cities and messes with the Mongolian area. You have to beat both, both of them are at each other's throats and you have to dismantle both in an absolute SLOG of a boss rush as they go to war in the steppes with their Pokemon.
Once you beat the champion you can go fight the box Legendary who only appears on the birthday of Genghis Khan, a giant white and blue sky horse named Tengri who has a special move called Rain of Arrows which is a rock type move. 130 BP and 90% accuracy. Once you catch him you can do round two with all the old leaders, the E4, and the evil teams.
